The Presidio is our dedicated commuting range, designed with low maintenance and adaptability in mind. Disc brakes, puncture resistant tires and high performance belt drives or corrosion-resistant chains are built tough for city streets, while the lightweight aluminum frames feature all of the attachment points and braze-ons that commuters demand.
Key upgrades over the Presidio 2:
- Shimano Nexus 8D 8-speed internally geared hub
- Gates CDN belt drive
LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINUM FRAMES Presidio frames are constructed of lightweight 6061 aluminum tubing with rack and fender mounts. Series 2 tubing on the Presidio 3 and 2 models add internal cable routing, and belt drive compatible forged slider dropouts for internally geared hubs.
Marin SLIDER DROPOUTS Our new slider dropouts were created specifically to bring the best technologies for commute bikes into a clean and tidy package. The dropouts slide to tension belts and chains, while incorporating flat mount disc brakes, and a direct mount rear kickstand to support the bike where weight is centered with gear.
DISC BRAKES Hydraulic disc brakes provide smooth, controlled stopping in all conditions with minimal maintenance.
INTERNALLY GEARED HUBS Internally geared hubs on the Presidio 3 and 2 package the gearing into a compact, maintenance-free package.

Great bike, good dealer
The Marin Presidio 3 is the perfect bike for city commuters. The belt drive and 8 speed internal are practically maintenance-free. The hydraulic disc brakes are ideal in all weather conditions. The bike arrived well packed with most of the critical components already assembled - just had to mount the handle bars, the seat, and the pedals. Finally, mounted the front wheel, pumped up the tires, and it was ready to ride. Revolution Bikes provides good customer communication during order processing and shipping.
