2024 Salsa Beargrease C XT

Beargrease pairs a race-ready carbon frame with the capability of fat tires for the ultimate groomed-trail machine. Its trail geometry, dropper post, and 27.5" wheels grant you confidence in loose corners and descents and make for an all-season ripper. Frame and fork mounts for extra bottles and cargo make it easier to gear up for your long days out or even overnighters, and the high-performance XT/SLX drivetrain is the icing on the cake. For light-and-quick confidence on any terrain, Beargrease is one of the best carbon fat-tire bikes out there.

BEARGREASE GEOMETRY

Completely redesigned frame and fork for 2019. 440mm chainstays, longer front/center, short stems, and wide bars create room to move and add confidence while maneuvering on tight trails. Standover height is improved, allowing the addition of a new XS frame size. This geometry results in a fat bike that rides like a trail bike. It is stable, steers well in loose conditions, and still remains nimble and agile despite the massive wheels and tires. A low bottom bracket height is also key, keeping the riders center of gravity low, and making dabbing, dismounting, and remounting easier.

27.5 X 4" WHEEL & TIRE SIZE

Beargrease rolls on 27.5 x 4" wheels and tires. For groomed snow or dirt, the increase in diameter provides increased rollover, a longer contact patch, and the flotation of a 5" tire without the added rolling resistance

KINGPIN DELUXE FORK

Featuring a full carbon design, the Kingpin Deluxe Fork is lightweight and durable, and features an amazing array of accessory bosses to help you make the most of your Beargrease fat bike: Dual sets of Three-Pack bosses on each leg accept bottle cages or our Anything Cage accessory / Lowrider mounts work with our Down Under front rack for a traditional touring setup / Internal dynamo hub wire routing keeps the front end clean for those upgrading to dyno hubs / 150 x 15mm thru-axle design boosts stiffness and aids in solid tracking on the trail
