The M1 has 203mm (linear) / 212mm (progressive) of rear travel and is built around a 6-link, high-pivot, 6061-T6 aluminum frame. The M1 is a race-proven winner. Designed for a 279 wheelset, developed, and perfected by our engineers and the INTENSE Factory Racing team on the World Cup circuit to be the fastest downhill bike.

*Note: The fork must be purchased with a rear shock. You can not purchase just the frame and fork. The frame does not qualify for a toolkit.

During the initial development stages, the 6-link high pivot design allowed us to isolate, adjust and customize every element of the M1’s ride characteristics. Our goal was to design a bike that would excel in all DH conditions, on any track, and honor the name and racing pedigree of our original M1 frames that we produced in the 1990s. With the new M1 we’ve created a bike that can smash through the roughest terrain, generate speed, accelerate efficiently when pedaling and stay active under braking.

High Pivot

High-pivot bikes, especially in downhill applications, have proven to provide amazing performance and podiums. The rearward axle path of the M1 moves the rear wheel out of the way of trail obstacles, helping the bike maintain momentum and control. The position of the idler pulley reduces the effects of chain growth, eliminating pedal kickback, and further enhancing suspension and pedaling performance.

Ultimate Set-Up

The M1's 6-Link suspension design offers two shock mount positions, allowing you to choose between Linear and Progressive settings without changing your geometry. The Linear position provides 203mm of travel with a 27% progression rate, while the Progressive setting delivers 212mm of travel with a 31% progression rate.

Threaded BB

The M1 features a threaded bottom bracket, a preferred choice for riders who handle their own bike maintenance. Compared to press-fit systems, threaded BBs are known for their ease of installation, removal, and maintenance, along with a more durable, secure connection. They are also less prone to creaking, making them a reliable and low-maintenance option for long-term performance on demanding terrain.

Easy to Work on

We prioritized easy maintenance in the M1's design. Key features include externally routed cables, 6mm Hex compatibility for all hardware (except one collet bolt), enduro bearings, and three 'captured' washers in the linkage that stay in place during reassembly.

Full Size Head Tube

The full-size 56/56 headtube, with a 63º head angle, allows you to run a 0-10mm reach adjustment headset. These adjustments mean that you can set the bike up to suit your riding style, personal preferences, and track conditions.

Alloy Frame

The M1 is crafted from high-performance 6061 aluminum and features a ZS56/ZS56 headtube, full downtube armor for impact protection, and an integrated mudguard to shield the frame from debris-keeping your shock clean and running smoothly.
