Ergolace 2 GTX has an updated shape that’s wider in the metatarsal area, providing more freedom for toes and an overall roomier fit that increases comfort for long days spent on the bike, or long minutes spent pushing it. The right choice for every off-road adventure, from daily exploration to longer bikepacking trips or even backcountry missions aboard an e-MTB, Ergolace is back and better than ever.

Built for wet-weather performance, Ergolace2 GTX features a lightweight GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane, offering waterproof, breathable protection that keeps you dry without increasing weight or bulk. The shoe's upper uses a lighter, low-profile ripstop fabric that dries quickly—ideal for tackling muddy trails or damp gravel adventures. Wider PU-laminated areas add greater protection and durability, while the toe box is further reinforced to protect feet from rocks and roots. A practical, foot-wrapping bootie construction made from perforated Airprene fabric provides more comfort than a traditional tongue construction since there are fewer material overlays, resulting in a pressure-free fit. Additionally, the perforated Airprene fabric allows moisture vapor to escape for better breathability and shoes that dry faster after heavy rain or deep streams.

The closure system is ergonomic and asymmetric so as not to interfere with the bike’s drivetrain. Proven across the World on the first Ergolace, the latest iteration of the lace closure system keeps feet secure and stable in the wildest riding conditions. The speedlace system is easy to lock and release, even on the fly, for a practical approach to adjustability.

NEW X2: A GRIPPIER GROOVE

The new X2 outsole provides the type of shoe-to-pedal interface you need for fast trail riding and gravel adventures, combining a sticky Vibram Megagrip rubber compound with a specific zonal lug pattern. The mid-foot area has lower lugs with a more regular shape to improve the mechanical grip with the pedals; the pedal pins fit better in the grooves of the outsole, locking the shoe in place. To improve ground traction during hike-a-bike moments, we took inspiration from other outdoor disciplines to develop an aggressive tread under the heel and toes—places where the outsole doesn’t interact with the pedal. Here, the lugs are taller and the pattern is wider to dig into the ground better. This clip-in version has a Ergolace specific nylon shank with a optimised shape for enhanced walkability. It's stiffer than its flat counterpart for better power transfer through the entire pedal stroke, improving pedaling efficiency.
