2026 POC Cytal Carbon Cycling Helmet
POCThe Cytal Carbon is the result of the constant search for new ways to maximise performance and safety. The road cycling helmet introduces new methods and technologies to deliver speed and safety.
Using production methods currently only seen on luxury sports cars, POC has integrated a carbon wing into the helmet, enhancing its aero properties, keeping weight low and supporting more even impact force distribution across the whole helmet.
The introduction of new modelling and simulation methods during the design process opened up new possibilities to test designs and push what is possible in a helmet, in terms of balancing speed, safety and performance. The result: a new approach to what keeps you safe.
The helmet is more open at the front, improving air entry into the helmet for better ventilation and reduced drag. An adjustment system spanning from the temples and around the back of the head makes it easy to find a secure and comfortable fit.

Certification
CPSC 1203
The CPSC 1203 standard is the mandatory bicycle helmet requirement for the United States. It evaluates impact absorption, strap and buckle strength, and overall helmet stability to ensure reliable protection in common crash scenarios. Helmets meeting CPSC 1203 provide the safety performance required for cycling on roads, paths and trails across the US. This standard is the equivalent to CE EN but the rules are slightly more stringent in terms of the impact test, meaning helmets can meet the CE EN 1078 standard with thinner foam and lighter weight than the US CPSC 1203.
Features
carbon wing
The helmet features an integrated lightweight carbon wing which improves aero performance and impact force distribution.

Lightweight
The helmet is lightweight, tipping the scales at 250g in a size M.

Open air entry ports
The more open air entry ports at the front of the helmet allow for improved ventilation and airflow around the head.

Adjustment system
The size adjustment system spans from temple to temple around the back of the head, keeping the front more open for better ventilation while also ensuring. a secure fit.
Lightweight PC Shell
The exterior PC Shell is molded to the helmet liner for enhanced structural stability.
Optimised EPS liner
The EPS liner is optimised for performance, giving extra protection in the zones it is needed most.
Technical Features
Finite Element Method (FEM) modeling
Created to question many more safety variables, our FEM process ensures that we deliver products that live up to our internal safety demands and is the process that influenced the carbon wing.

CFD simulation and testing
Competitive cyclists optimize every pedal stroke to deliver pure forward motion. Several details need to align to create precise forward motion on a bike, such as fitness, power, and technique, all of which are basic building blocks to building speed.

The Cooling Power of a carbon wing
A handmade carbon wing featuring a Koridion core lies at the centre of a new approach to performance, ventilation and protection visible in the new Cytal Carbon road cycling helmet.

Different by design
Everything starts with a reason: a question that needs a solution. It's never simply about creating protection that works, the question is how to ensure a user stays as safe as possible while having the freedom to perform at their best.
