At 250g the Cytal Lite is for when comfort and every gram counts - the helmet for climbing mountains and managing the heat.

The Cytal Lite is for when grams count and heat management is a must. Weighing less than 250g (CE standard, size medium), the Cytal Lite has been developed to deliver the lowest weight possible while ensuring optimised protection and incredible heat management.

Taking inspiration from the Cytal and Cytal Carbon, we updated and enhanced the structure of the helmet shell to save weight on the EPS liner and enhance airflow, which is perfectly tuned to the needs of climbers and col hunters, or riders who often ride in a hot climate.

Every aspect of the helmet, including the adjustment system, the straps and the strap dividers, are all weight-optimised to be as light and comfortable as possible. The result is a helmet that offers enhanced protection in an extremely light, ventilated and comfortable package.

Certification

CPSC 1203

The CPSC 1203 standard is the mandatory bicycle helmet requirement for the United States. It evaluates impact absorption, strap and buckle strength, and overall helmet stability to ensure reliable protection in common crash scenarios. Helmets meeting CPSC 1203 provide the safety performance required for cycling on roads, paths and trails across the US. This standard is the equivalent to CE EN but the rules are slightly more stringent in terms of the impact test, meaning helmets can meet the CE EN 1078 standard with thinner foam and lighter weight than the US CPSC 1203.

Features

Optimised weight

Small: 180g / Medium: 200g / Large: 220g

Structurally strong

The Shell and liner combine to provide enhanced structural integrity for ultimate lightweight crash protection.

highly ventilated

Large airflow channels throughout the helmet and an optimised Shell structure enhance airflow.

Lightweight EPS liner

A low-density EPS liner keeps weight as low as possible while still providing crash protection.

Lightweight in-mold PC Shell

The outer PC Shell is scaled back wherever possible, covering the liner only where absolutely necessary so that as many grams as possible can be saved.

Open padding structure

The comfort padding at the front of the helmet features only vertical padding, allowing more air flow across the forehead and keeping weight low.

Integrated wing

A thinner integrated wing helps control airflow through and around the helmet, and improves the helmet's ventilation.

Lightweight straps

The helmet is kept securely in place thanks to the lightweight straps.

Adjustable fit

A lightweight adjustable fit system makes it easy for every user to find a secure and comfortable fit.

Technical Features

Finite Element Method (FEM) modeling

Created to question many more safety variables, our FEM process ensures that we deliver products that live up to our internal safety demands and is the process that influenced the carbon wing.

Different by design

Everything starts with a reason: a question that needs a solution. It's never simply about creating protection that works, the question is how to ensure a user stays as safe as possible while having the freedom to perform at their best.

How to choose: Road cycling helmet

A helmet is vital for your safety, but it's also a fundamental part of forming the perfect kit. Your helmet choice helps to define you as a cyclist, so it's always important to choose carefully.
